Now on Codeplex: The Microsoft Solution Framework for Editorial
Collaboration and Mobile Journalism
The Editorial Collaboration and Mobile Journalism Portal (ECP)is a framework
that supports journalists, editors and producers creating content for multiple
channels and working together.
In order to feed multiple channels successfully, ECP has a story-centric
approach. It supports the entire content creation value chain, from the
inception of the story idea to planning the output across multiple channels.
Journalists and editors can
>>
share story ideas across teams, editorial offices and publications
>>
plan event coverage, i.e. making interview appointments, appointments for
photo shoots, etc.
>>
request, find and allocate resources like reporters, photographers, and
graphics artists
>>
gather content like meeting notes, press releases, texts, and photos, and
user-generated content from wikis and comments
>>
plan the output across channels – newspaper and magazine articles, Web
articles, RSS feeds, and articles for mobile devices
Conciety developed the portal together with Microsoft and just published it
to the open source platform Codeplex.
There you can download and test it for free.
If you have any questions regarding modifying, enriching, or implementing ECP,
we will be glad to answer them. Just send us an email:
